Here we are, ready for another Easter weekend in Cape May where breathtaking views are available from every direction. Let your imagination run wild as you gaze out to sea especially at sunset to watch the sky meet the sea.

Kick off the weekend Firday, April 3rd for Fire Pit Friday at Willow Creek Winery.

Musical Attractions in Cape May 2015

Music lovers will not want to miss a special 8 P.M., event at Convention Hall on Saturday, April 4th for “Deanna Martin In Concert.” Reminisce with Deanna as she croons tunes her father, Dean Martin, The Dino, sang and loved as well as some associated with Sammy Davis, Jr. and Frank Sinatra.

Easter Sunday is going to be a challenge to fit everything that’s happening in Cape May into one day. There’s an Easter Parade at the Washington Street Mall open to boys & girls of all ages. Awards to be given are in the form of ribbons, treats, gift cards and undisclosed prizes. Rumor has it that The Easter Bunny will be happy to pose for photos and to collect hugs and kisses from his fans. Registration kicks off at noon for the 1 P.M., parade. Categories include: Best Child’s Bonnet, Best Dressed Lady  and Gent,  Best Attired Couple and Family, and Best Adult Hat. Should rain occur, the event will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Hall on Ohio Street.

Saturday, April 4th there are many Easter Egg Hunts in the area including the Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the City of Cape May and its Kiwanis Club. This free, one hour adventure will take place at Cape May Elementary School.

There’s still time to catch the African-American Heritage Exhibit since it doesn’t close until April 14th.  Situated at Emien Physik Center, located at 1048 Washington Street,  the 15th Annual occurrence is entitled “The Way We Were.” Viewing the various exhibits affords the opportunity to learn about African-American life and their role in the development of the Cape May community. Walking tour itinerary includes Franklin Street School, built in 1928 for African-American children.

Before you head home, be sure to book accommodations at Montreal Beach Resort to be a part of our 50th anniversary celebration beginning April 10th.
