Cape May means summer. It’s a wonderful feeling each year to see people coming back to town, businesses opening their doors back up and families enjoying quality time together once again in our beautiful piece of paradise. And as the summer season approaches, we’re excited to know that new memories will be made right here in Cape May. With so many great events this month, June is the perfect time to visit Cape May. Here are 5 fantastic Cape May events in June you will not want to miss this summer.

 

  1. 28th Annual Cape May Music Festival

Music makes the world go round and we’ve got an entertaining music festival you won’t want to miss. Twenty eight years in the making, the Cape May Music Festival is a great way to kick off the summer season. The festival features classical, jazz, chamber and more and runs from May 28 – June 15, 2017. With multiple dates, there is sure to be a great fit for your schedule.   1. Boardwalk Craft Show

Hitting the boardwalk is always a great time, but when you throw a craft fair into the mix, you can’t beat it. Check out unique items from local artisans, taste delicious treats and enjoy a day of cruising up and down the boardwalk. The Boardwalk Craft Show will be held Saturday ,June 10 and Sunday, June 11 from 10am-5pm. Don’t miss it!

 

  1. 15th Annual Antiques and Craft Fair

Speaking of crafts, you will also want to check out the Greater Cape May Historical Society’s 15th Annual Antiques and Craft Fair. Held at Wilbraham Park in West Cape May, you’ll be amazed at what special treasures you can find here. The fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 17 from 9am-5pm and benefits the Colonial House Museum.   1. Cape May Hops Festival

A fun way for the whole family to spend the day, the 2nd Annual Cape May Hops Festival is tons of fun. Free to get in, this festival is held on the beautiful grounds of Emlen Physick Estate at 1048 Washington Street on June 24. Kick summer off with brews, barbeque and blues music. Enjoy a collectibles show, crafts and kid activities. Have fun!

 

  1. Magic Show

Who doesn’t enjoy a good magic show? Perfect for families, you’ll find a free magic show with magician Rich Lessig. Stop by the Cape May Convention Hall at 7pm on Tuesday June 27 and be prepared to have your socks knocked off. Not a bad way to spend a summer evening with the family!
