Mild weather has extended the 2015 South Jersey fishing season dramatically. And talk about drama…imagine pulling THIS monster in from the surf!

Cape May Striper Fishing is Bristling

Spring and fall, when the waters are between 55 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit, these are the best times to fish for Striped Bass. They’re close to the shore and in the bays feeding on schools of bunker, herring and spot. Drop a line in with some live bait, eels and you can land a whopper like this fellow did right off the beach. He was using clam for bait!

Striped Bass is not only a fun and beautiful fish, it is also one of the most delicious. Clean, full bodied white meat.

Fish from the beach, jetties or take a spot on a party or charter boat. Have a blast. You never forget your first STRIPER!
